MotoGP - The season so far

Well, it has been a great start for the Fiat Yamaha team, and especially Jorge Lorenzo. Could it be his year? On current form you would have to say it could be!

Rossi is riding well, but he seems to be slightly off the pace due to his motorcross injuries. He will be back though I'm sure!

Stoner. Well, don't need to say much here so far. He has had some awful luck at the start of the season, and seems off it. Hayden is beating him at the moment and the new Ducati doesn't seem to be suiting Stoner in the early season.

Pedrosa is doing his usual. Fast starts, then disappearing. He got bullied into a mistake in Jerez. He did fight back initially, but he soon wilted. Needs to have a little bit more fire.

Ben Spies has started well. I've been impressed with his outright pace, something James Toseland didn't seem to have on the M1. I think Spies will be at the factory Yamaha team in the next couple of years, especially as the big fours contract all expire this year. If either Rossi or Lorenzo go, then they have a quick replacement in Spies.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the season develops!
